Once again Andy Warhol is the star of the auction with five works of art representing a valuation (*) of $29.5 million.



Mark Rothko however beats Andy Warhol by value with a unique work of art valued (*) at $50 million.


Willem de Kooning sees four lots coming to this auction at relatively lower valuations (*) of on average, $5.25 million.


Only two works from Cy Twombly are to be sold at this auction, including one in which the auction house declares to have ownership interest.


Overall a smaller offering than a year ago for Sotheby's with 25% less works of art estimated between $1 and $10 million.
